Aastha Community Services is here to help……..

There is no one fit for all solution to address the issues faced by people with disability. However, there has been great changes in the lifestyle of people with disability ever since the introduction of National Disability Insurance Scheme in Australia. Therefore, it is important to understand the process of NDIS and the eligibility criteria to access NDIS.

People with disability are supported by Aastha Community Services in accessing the NDIS servicesNDIS support coordinators and other NDIS staff provide individual assistance and support coordination to you to help you lead an independent and fuller life. People with disability should meet a set of criteria by National Disability Insurance Agency to be eligible for an NDIS plan.

The eligibility criteria are:

1. You should be someone with a permanent and significant disability that impacts your daily life activities and between 7 and 65 years of age.

2. The applicant should possess Australian residency or hold a permanent or a Special Protected Category visa and residing in Australia.

All relevant documents required to prove you age, disability and residency status should be submitted along with the Access Request Form to the NDIA. The supporting documents should clearly state the impact of the disability in carrying out daily life tasks. The NDIA then assess your eligibility and if eligible, you will be contacted to arrange a planning meeting. Aastha Community Services provides individual assistance in helping you succeed through this process and ensure your needs are addressed based on your choices.
